Availability and Booking for Our Holiday Cottages

WAYS TO BOOK YOUR STAY   You can make a booking by using the online booking system. 

If you prefer, you can book by telephone: Tel: 01392 881028 or 07739 765510.  Please also fill in the printable booking form and return it by post or email. 

The booking will be held for 5 days working days until we we have received your deposit/full payment and booking form.  Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit/debit card over the phone.

DEPOSIT A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking, the balance due six weeks before arrival.  If the booking is made less than six weeks in advance, the full amount will be taken at the time of booking.  A booking form must also be completed and sent by post or email.  

Non-payment by the due date will be treated as a cancellation.

PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS  will be held for 5 working days and confirmed once the deposit or full payment and booking form have been received.  If these have not been received within this time,  the provisional booking will be cancelled without notice.

Booking Conditions

CANCELLATION In the event of cancellation, please advise us immediately. We will attempt to re-let the property and return your payment, less a handling charge of £25.00 per cottage. If we are unable to re-let all monies will be forfeited.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Unless otherwise agreed, the cottages are available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure.

PETS  Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets

GUEST NUMBERS The number of people occupying a cottage must not exceed the number stated without written approval from Highdown Farm.

CLEANING, DAMAGE, BREAKAGES The cottages should be left clean and in the same good condition as found. Any breakages should be reported and we reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage.

CANCELLATION BY US  In the unlikely event of your cottage being unavailable for reasons beyond our control, e.g. fire damage, we will endeavour to find similar alternative accommodation or give a complete refund. No further liability will be accepted.

LIABILITY The use of accommodation and amenities including the farm, gardens, play area and grounds is entirely at the Hirers's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the Hirer or the Hirer's companions or guests. When visiting the farm and animals, children must be supervised at all times.  Please ensure that hands are washed thoroughly after the visit.
